1. Platform Nature & Business Model

Restood ("Platform", "We", "Us", or "Our") operates as an online aggregator and event management marketplace. The Platform enables independent vendors including, but not limited to, Marriage Halls/Auditorium Owners, Photographers, Beauticians, Decorators, Caterers, and Event Planners ("Vendor Partners" or "Vendors") to list their services, and allows end-users ("Customers" or "Users") to browse, select, and directly book these event services. In accordance with Section 2(20) and related provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (CPA 2019) and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, Restood acts as an e-commerce marketplace entity facilitating direct contracts between Customers and Vendors. Restood is not a direct service provider of physical venues, photography, catering, or beautician services, but acts as an authorized facilitator under a principal-to-principal framework [source: 1].

2. User & Vendor Eligibility (Indian Contract Act, 1872)

Pursuant to Section 11 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, access to and registration on Restood is strictly limited to individuals who are legally competent to enter into binding contracts [source: 1]. Every User and Vendor represents and warrants that:

  • They are at least 18 years of age or above [source: 1].
  • They possess full legal capability, authority, and power to agree to these Terms and Conditions [source: 1].
  • For corporate entities/Vendors, the registering individual is an authorized signatory capable of legally binding the business entity.

3. Role Facilitation & Limitation of Liability

  • Principal-to-Principal Contract: An accepted booking creates a direct, legally binding contract of service between the Customer and the Vendor [source: 1]. Restood is not a party to this operational service contract [source: 1].
  • No Service Guarantee: Restood shall not be liable for deficiencies in service, delays, event delays, poor quality, damage to property, or unprofessional conduct by Vendors or venue staff [source: 1].
  • Platform Discretion & Removal: Restood reserves the absolute right to suspend, terminate, or block any Vendor or Customer account in the event of contractual breach, fraudulent listing, or statutory noncompliance without prior notice [source: 1].
